The European Days of the Patrimony are an annual European demonstration, founded in 1991 by the Council of Europe on the model of the "Days Open doors of the historic buildings" created in 1983 on the initiative of the Ministry for the Culture.
For their 28e edition, September 17th and 18th, 2011, the European Days of the Patrimony will have as a subject "the voyage of the Inheritance".
The objective will be to reveal an often had a low opinion of dimension: the extraordinary vitality of a national heritage which was always constituted thanks to circulations of works and artists, with the contacts between currents and different esthetic cultures, with the influences who allowed to make cross the glances and to invent new forms.

At the time of the days of the Inheritance, association "Marolles-in-Hurepoix, History and Inheritance", in partnership with the municipality you invites to a great demonstration on Panhard and Levassor.
Emile Levassor, born in Marolles-in-Hurepoix on January 21st, 1843, is the cofounder with Rene Panhard of the famous firm "Panhard and
Levassor" what was worth to him the nickname of "Father of the car". Since 1970, the building firm of military vehicles " Panhard Général Defense" is established with Marolles-in-Hurepoix with the place says "the pond of water".
The exposure, located at the village hall and whose entry will be free, will recall the epopee of the mark over more than one century, through 80 panels.

Sale of brioches on May 1st

The festival committee, the MJC and the USM gathered to propose the sale of the brioches again to you on May 1st. This new formula based on solidarity will transfer all the benefit with the antenna marollaise Resto du coeur. The children of more than 10 years which wish to take part in this event can be registered near organizing associations. But with the fact, do you know the history of this tradition?
She was born in 1946. At the origin, they was the Marollais young people called the "Master-Boys" who, on a tractor accompanied by an accordionist, sold brioches. The following day, to the coffee of the town hall, among Mrs. CATTIAUX, these same "Master-Boys" invited the young girls to taste the unsold brioches around glass.

December 31st, 2002, following an order of the prefect of December 2nd, 2002, thirteen communes, Arpajon, Avrainville, Boissy-sous-Saint-Yon, Breuillet, Bruyères-le-Châtel, Cheptainville, Egly, Guibeville, La Norville, Leuville-sur-Orge, Ollainville, Saint-Germain-lès-Arpajon and Saint-Yon linked themselves within the Community of Communes of Arpajonnais.
December 31st, 2003, following the withdrawal of Leuville-on-Barley and pursuant to two orders of the prefect of July 4th, 2003 and of October 14th, 2003, Marolles-en-Hurepoix and Lardy joined this Community of Communes.
The intercommunality rests on the pooling and the mutualisation of the means. It is a tool with the service of local development, a factor of effectiveness of the public action and a formidable catalyst of collective projects.
This exposure, created by Association History and Inheritance, proposes to make you discover the CCA (the Community of Communes of Arpajonnais) through its principles, its history, its 14 communes, its achievements and its projects.

The Sporting Union of Marolles organizes a great festival of the sport June 13th and 14th 2009, at the time of its 80 years of existance

It is indeed in 1929, that some voluntary founds the U.S.M. by creating the Football section, under the impulse and the courage of Mr Norbert Batigne, and under the presidency of honor of Mr François of Garets.
And, as the meeting of August 28th, 1930, of the Municipal council, one finds trace of the U.S.M. by the attribution of a subsidy of 300 francs.
The U.S.M. counts, in 2009.740 members (either 16% of the population marollaise, placing our commune among the best of the Essonne).

A quite beautiful day with the participation of all the teams of the club, an impressive team of parents of dynamism, and a superb match of Nationale 3!

For its first festival of basket ball, the club obtained a result exceeding all its hopes, with more than 600 Euros of gifts, completely transferred with association ELA.
Large a thank you with all the participants and all the voluntary ones who were invested in this festival.

In 2006, a tournament of basket ball was organized to the profit of ELA, at Marolles.
This year, Elo organizes the festival of basket ball, with its club of Brétigny sur Orge.
The topic of this year is to make known with the greatest number, the association ELA (European association against the Leucodystrophies).
This Association, which fights against the orphan genetic discases, account among its members, people like Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini or Florent Pagny.
Saturday June 7 will be held matches of all categories, from mini-basket to seniors.
And starting from 8.45 p.m., will take place a match of official reception, with the participation of 2 senior female teams of nationale 3 : US Palaiseau and USO Athis-Mons.
